European Roulette Pro at joywin affiliate — Rules, Bets and Strategy
The classic European wheel has a single zero pocket — that is what sets it apart from American Roulette for the player. This page covers round rules, bet types, house edge and key strategy in detail.
How a round works
European Roulette Pro uses a wheel with 37 numbers from 0 to 36. The dealer (or a random number generator in the digital version) spins the wheel and releases a small ball in the opposite direction. The number or colour pocket where the ball lands is the winning result.
Before a round starts, players have a set time to place chips on the betting table. Once the dealer announces "No More Bets", no further changes can be made. When the ball stops, winning bets are paid out and losing chips are cleared from the table. The next round then begins.
Each round is completely independent — previous results have no effect on the next round. This is especially important for new players to keep in mind.
Which bets pay how much
Bets in European Roulette are divided into two main categories — inside bets (bets placed directly on the numbered section of the table) and outside bets (bets on larger groups). The table below describes each type and its payout ratio.
A payout ratio means, for example, that 35:1 pays ৳35 profit for every ৳1 bet, and the original stake is also returned.
What is the house edge in European Roulette
One of the key features of European Roulette is its single zero pocket. This keeps the house edge at around 2.7% — meaning that over the long run, the casino mathematically retains about ৳2.7 for every ৳100 wagered.
American Roulette, by comparison, has both "0" and "00", pushing the house edge to around 5.3% — roughly double that of the European version. Some tables offer the "La Partage" rule, where half of an even-money bet is returned when the ball lands on zero, reducing the house edge further.
Understanding the house edge does not mean you will lose exactly that amount every round. In the short term, results can go either way — some players win quickly, others lose several rounds in a row. The house edge is simply a long-term average.
Which strategies are useful to start with
There is no guaranteed winning formula in roulette — but following a few general principles can make your betting more organised.
Starting with outside bets (Red/Black, Odd/Even) gives you a higher chance of winning, even though the payouts are lower. Once you are comfortable with these, you can gradually move to inside bets.
Begin a session with a fixed amount and stop when it is gone. Avoid the tendency to place larger bets quickly after a loss.
Doubling your bet after every loss may look appealing on paper, but it can quickly exceed both table limits and your bankroll.
"Red has come up ten times in a row, so Black must be next" — this thinking is not correct. Every round is completely independent.
Combining outside and inside bets in the same round spreads the risk a little. Keep in mind, though, that this does not change the house edge.
